CBS officially confirmed details for the 60th Grammy awards ceremony.

Per the announcement, the show will be taking place at New York’s Madison Square Garden on January 28, 2018.

The show, notably, will start earlier this year. Instead of beginning in the 8PM hour, the show will begin at 7:30PM ET and run through 11PM. It will air live (4:30-8PM PT) on the west coast.

The earlier start time likely accounts for the show being held in the eastern time zone. It may also come with a ratings benefit; even though it is when the night’s biggest trophies are issued, awards shows tend to lose viewers in the 11PM ET hour.

“It is very exciting that Music’s Biggest Night will be hosted by the country’s most iconic city from historic Madison Square Garden and broadcast on America’s most watched network,” said Les Moonves of CBS. “We greatly appreciate all the efforts of Mayor de Blasio, Jim Dolan and Neil Portnow to make this moment happen and help us create an event that promises to be one of the biggest television broadcasts of this or any other year.”
