While neither posted strong marks, MTV’s “Faking It” and “Awkward” both enjoyed improved live+same-day ratings and total viewership figures this week.
After sinking to a series low 0.13 adults 18-49 rating and 0.28 million viewers for last week’s third season premiere, “Faking It” drew what Showbuzz reports as a 0.21 and 0.40 million viewers this week.
The numbers are a far cry from what the show was doing during its first 1.5 seasons, but they are not dramatically removed from those typically posted during season 2B (which aired during the summer and fall of 2015).
MTV led into “Faking It with “Awkward.” Showbuzz reports the episode’s numbers at a 0.31 in A18-49 and 0.58 million in total viewership; last week’s season 5B premiere drew a 0.25 and 0.52 million.
This week’s “Awkward” numbers tell the same tale as this week’s “Faking It” marks: they are down sharply from the show’s pre-2015 level but within the same basic range as several performances from the most recent half-season.
