Selena Gomez’ “Same Old Love” Pulls Ahead of Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” in Pop Radio Race

The weekly pop radio race is nearing its finish line, and Selena Gomez’ “Same Old Love” is in the lead.

“Same Old Love” received 15,960 spins during the first six days of the January 3-9 tracking week. Up 6.0% from the total at this point last week, the tally positions “Same Old Love” at #1 on Mediabase’s building chart.

Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” which spent the first five days at #1 on the building listing, is now #2. It received 15,782 spins during the tracking week’s first six days (+0.0%).

With the lead and momentum on its side, Selena Gomez’ “Same Old Love” enters the final day of the tracking week in very good shape.

If it indeed claims #1 on this week’s official chart (due Sunday), it will become Gomez’ third pop radio #1.

“Sorry,” which is the second #1 of Bieber’s career, has spent the past three weeks atop Mediabase’s official chart.

— The follow-ups to both singles are also on the move this week. Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself” is presently #8 on the Mediabase building chart. Gomez’ “Hands To Myself” is #33.
