Troye Sivan’s “Blue Neighbourhood” Drives 55K US Sales

Early in the December 4-10 tracking week, analysts were expecting Troye Sivan’s “Blue Neighbourhood” to post an opening week US sales figure in the 45-50,000 range.

Official weekly sales data is now available, and it confirms that “Blue Neighbourhood” bested that forecast.

According to Nielsen Music, Sivan’s album sold 55,000 copies during its first week of release.

His debut full-length, “Blue Neighbourhood” is Sivan’s second major release of 2015. The “WILD” EP, his first, sold 45,000 US copies during its first week of release.

With Track Equivalent Albums (track sales/10) and Streaming Equivalent Albums (track streams/1500) added to the sales total, “Blue Neighbourhood” generated 65,000 first-week consumption units. That earns the album the #7 position on this week’s Billboard 200.
