Ellie Goulding’s “Burn” Earns 3X Platinum Certification in the US

As attention shifts to music from her new “Delirium” project, Ellie Goulding can celebrate new certifications for one of her earlier hits.

On October 19, 2015, Goulding’s hit “Burn” received a 3x platinum certification under the RIAA’s digital singles program. It also received retroactive certifications signifying 2X platinum, platinum, and gold.

Per the rules of the RIAA’s digital singles program, the 3x platinum certification confirms a US unit total of at least 3 million units. One unit is equal to 1 sale or 100 streams.

Released in 2013, “Burn” peaked at #13 on the Billboard Hot 100.
