Kanye West’s “Only One” is One of Pop’s 50 Most-Played Songs

Kanye West’s “Only One (featuring Paul McCartney)” is certainly not off to an explosive start at radio, but it is beginning to gain traction at several formats.

According to Mediabase, the emotional release is currently one of the fifty most-played songs at pop radio.

“Only One” grabs the #50 slot on Saturday’s edition of the Mediabase rolling pop airplay chart. Up thirteen places from last week’s position, it commanded 364 spins during the week between January 17 and 23.

The song is also on the move at the rhythmic and urban radio formats. “Only One” appears at #35 on the rolling rhythmic chart (739 spins) and at #41 on the latest urban listing (519 spins).

Released on New Year’s Day, “Only One” quickly made a mark on the iTunes sales chart and ultimately debuted at #35 on the Billboard Hot 100. It marked Paul McCartney’s first top 40 hit since 1989.
