“Betrayal” Ratings Get Even Weaker for Second Episode

Update: Because ABC has already cancelled new series “Lucky 7,” it might hesitate to urgently ax “Betrayal.” But make no mistake, this show is a goner.

Sunday’s episode drew just a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating with 3.97 million viewers. Down 27% from last week’s low premiere number, the rating was made worse by the fact that the show declined–from a 1.2 to a 1.0–at the half-hour mark.

With a mid-episode drop of its own, “Revenge” also had a rough night. The episode garnered a disappointing 2.0 adults 18-49 with 6.69 million viewers. Last week’s broadcast, which had the additional hurdle of facing the “Breaking Bad” finale, earned a 2.3 rating.

“Once Upon a Time” opened the night with a 2.5 rating and 7.66 million viewers.

Despite aggressively pushing the show’s central romance as the next “Olitz” to “Scandal” fans, ABC was unable to generate more interest in its flop “Betrayal.”

The serialized drama, which bowed last week to a disappointing 3.5 overnight metered market rating (and a 1.5 adults 18-49 with 5.2 million viewers in the finals), dipped another 20% to a 2.8 rating Sunday.

Lead-in series “Once Upon a Time” (4.9, down 6%) and “Revenge” (4.5, down 15%) also fell from their premiere week levels.
