Thanks to solid ratings and strong buzz, WWE’s new reality series “Total Divas” has earned an extended initial run on E!
E! announced Wednesday that it has picked up an additional six episodes of the series, which chronicles the personal and professional lives of seven WWE Divas.
The order will extend the show’s first season from eight to fourteen episodes.
“Our audience has embraced ‘Total Divas’ in a big way and we’re excited to build on the show’s tremendous momentum with six additional episodes,” said Jeff Olde, Executive Vice President, Program Development. “For many women, WWE Divas possess aspirational personalities because of their glamorous lifestyles and international stardom, but it’s their genuine and dynamic personal lives that have truly captivated so many viewers.”
“Total Divas” wraps its current run with a summer finale on September 15. The six additional episodes will begin airing November 17 in the same Sunday at 10PM timeslot.
Since premiering to a solid 0.7 adults 18-49 rating and 1.3 million viewers, “Total Divas” has delivered two consecutive weeks of ratings improvement. Its most recent airing attracted a 0.9 rating with 1.7 million viewers.
