“Bates Motel” Ratings Stay Hot, WWE RAW Viewership Slips

Last week’s pivotal “Bates Motel” reveal–that Norman, not his mother as previously suspected, killed his father–evidently kept viewers hooked on A&E’s newest drama.

The “Psycho”-inspired “Bates” matched last week’s 1.3 adults 18-49 rating and attracted 2.99 million viewers.

After matching its premiere 1.3 adults 18-49 rating in week two, “Bates” slowly declined over its next few episodes. But the decline was not significant enough to deter an early second season renewal from A&E, a decision that has proven especially wise amid the show’s recent ascent back to its premiere ratings level.

With a viewership average of 2.99 million, Monday’s “Bates” just barely missed the premiere episode’s 3.04 million mark.

The show again ranked as cable’s number one scripted series Monday.

— Monday’s WWE RAW matched last week’s 1.6 adults 18-49 rating but suffered a slight viewership decline to 4.29 million.
