Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson apologized to fans for the conclusions produced by his return promo last February. During the promo, The Rock famously suggested that he was never leaving, a promise that turned out to be false given the fact that he is only working with WWE on a sporadic basis.
“I never meant to mislead or confuse the fans and I apologize if I did,” Tweeted The Rock. “The overall goal was to make huge impact and elevate Wrestlemania. Shoot my movie commitments, then return again as soon as I wrap the film and help elevate the WWE and the overall business of professional wrestling. Survivor Series, Mania etc.”
— PWInsider.com reports that Kevin Nash’s current TV run with WWE is viewed as a short-term deal. While he is indeed signed to a special WWE Legends deal and will be in a working relationship with WWE going forward, he is not internally viewed as a permanent addition to the RAW roster. He nonetheless is expected to make regular appearances for the duration of his angle with Triple H and CM Punk.
In other Nash-related news, F4WOnline.com reports that the wrestler received Triple H’s approval to not have to deal with a script for his promos on RAW. The most he will receive ahead of time is a bullet-point outline.
