Bobby Cannavale Surprises With Supporting Actor Emmy Win

Bobby Cannavale’s turn on “Boardwalk Empire” was one of the most critically-acclaimed performances of the season, but given the strength of the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama category, he remained a longshot.

With “Homeland” scene-stealer Mandy Patinkin and “Breaking Bad” forces Jonathan Banks and two-time winner Aaron Paul in the mix, who would put money on Cannavale?

Whomever made that bet cleaned up, however, as Cannavale indeed won. “Downton Abbey”‘s Jim Carter and “Game of Thrones”‘ Peter Dinklage joined Patinkin, Banks and Paul in watching the “Boardwalk” actor make his way up the stage.
