WWE Releases Fan Favorite Superstar, Reportedly Amicable Decision

WWE announced Thursday that it has released NXT season two winner Kaval from his contract.

“World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of WWE SmackDown Superstar Kaval (Brandon Silvestry) as of today, December 23, 2010. We wish Kaval the best in all future endeavors,” read the statement.

Kaval, previously known on the independent scene as Low-Ki and in TNA Wrestling as Senshi, won the second season of NXT but was not pushed to the extent of season one winner Wade Barrett. According to PWInsider.com, creative simply had no direction for the wrestler, and the “release” was essentially an amicable parting of ways.
