Movie News: Actor Joins Sandler’s “Grown Ups,” SNL Star In Film

– “Saturday Night Live” star Jason Sudeikis is finalizing talks to join romantic comedy “Going the Distance.”

“Distance” stars Drew Barrymore and Justin Long as lovers trying to maintain a long-distance relationship; Sudeikis plays Long’s skeptical friend who cautions him against preserving the relationship. Charlie Day and Christina Applegate also star.

– SNL alum Tim Meadows has joined the extensive cast of “Grown Ups,” the summer 2010 comedy that unites “Saturday Night Live” castmembers Adam Sandler, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Maya Rudolph, Chris Rock, Norm MacDonald and Colin Quinn and also features past Sandler collaborators like Steve Buscemi and Kevin James.
