“Eastbound & Down” star Danny McBride, who has gotten his “Kenny Powers” character over as a cult favorite, will be guest-hosting on the October 11 edition of WWE RAW.
McBride, who has been embraced by the Will Ferrell/Adam McKay camp and has starred in such films as “Land of the Lost,” “Pineapple Express” and “Tropic Thunder,” will be promoting the second season of his HBO comedy on the episode.
McBride has portrayed the Kenny Powers character in cross-promotional media, so it is quite possible that he will suit up as the washed-up baseball player for his RAW appearance. As a counter to that notion, an honest portrayal of the character would hardly fit into WWE’s PG environment.
