Cole Swindell’s “You Should Be Here” is currently leading Keith Urban’s “Ripcord” on the US iTunes sales chart, but analysts expect the latter album to have a stronger first week in the overall market.
Based on opening day data, Hits projects a 75-80,000 opening week US sales total for Keith Urban’s album. Swindell’s new set is expected to sell 55-60,000.
Both albums are expected to claim Top 5 positions on this week’s Top Album Sales chart. They are definitely expected to trail Drake’s “Views” and Beyonce’s “Lemonade.” At worst, they will also end up beneath Radiohead’s new album, which will arrive Sunday (no projections are available at press time).
“Fuse,” Urban’s previous album, sold 98,000 copies in its first week. Swindell’s self-titled debut shifted 63,000.
