“American Idol” has never guaranteed its contestants lengthy runs as music superstars, and that reality is especially true in today’s entertainment climate. With “Idol” no longer even a dominant television show, it would be unreasonable assume that every contestant will depart the series a household name.
Regardless of what happens after the show, “Idol” still knows how to give its contestants a taste of stardom. In addition to putting them on stage–often alongside true music industry mainstays–before tens of millions, the series also knows how to spotlight their passionate fanbases.
On finale night, “Idol” will broadcast live feeds from the two remaining contestants’ hometowns to demonstrate their immense support. And ahead of Wednesday’s Top 3 performance show, “Idol” stuck to tradition and sent Angie Miller, Kree Harrison and Candice Glover, the final three contestants, home to experience love from their fans, friends and families.
