One of the year’s best-performing albums now boasts a gold certification in the United States.

BTS’ “Map of the Soul: Persona,” that album, crossed the gold threshold on August 22, 2019. Issued by the RIAA, the certification confirms 500,000 in US album units.

Each unit is equal to 1 album sale, 10 track sales or 1500 track streams.

“Map of the Soul: Persona,” which contains the platinum-certified “Boy With Luv (featuring Halsey),” becomes the superstar group’s second gold album.

Last November, BTS received a gold award for “Love Yourself: Answer.” Both albums, as well as “Love Yourself: Tear,” debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200.
