After appearing on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100, Saweetie’s “My Type” blasts onto this week’s edition of the main Hot 100.
The song starts at #81 on this week’s listing, which accounts for activity from sales, streams and radio airplay.
“My Type” has been taking off at rhythmic and urban radio, while also making some waves on the streaming front. A tie-in with TNT’s “Claws” (including a co-branded music video) helped swell interest.
A new video, which was released at the end of the most recent Billboard tracking period, should further accelerate interest in the song.
“My Type” becomes the first Billboard Hot 100 entry for the hip-hop artist.
