Due primarily to interest in their Top 13 round recordings, “The Voice” contestants Kirk Jay and Reagan Strange debut on the Billboard Emerging Artists chart.

Jay starts at #44 on the listing, while Strange earns #49.

The Billboard Emerging Artists chart ranks the Top 50 artists who have yet to score a major hit on a key Billboard album or song chart. Its methodology accounts for album sales, song consumption and social media activity.

The contestants had two of last week’s best-performing recordings. Kirk Jay’s version of “I’m Already There” was the show’s best-seller on iTunes, while Strange’s “You Say” was the Apple Music streaming leader.
