Pop superstar Ariana Grande appeared as the whole-show guest on Tuesday’s episode. She took part in a “Fan Surprise” segment, a “Musical Genre Challenge,” a “NBD” sketch and an interview with Jimmy Fallon. She also closed the show with a performance of her new single “No Tears Left To Cry.”

The idea of Ariana Grande appearing on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” is nothing new — the pop superstar has visited the show on numerous occasions.
There is, however, something quite special about Grande’s appearance on Tuesday’s episode.
Grande is a “whole-show” guest on the episode. In addition to closing the show with a performance of “No Tears Left To Cry,” Grande joins host Jimmy Fallon for an interview. She also participates in a “Musical Genre Challenge,” a “NBD” bit, and a “Fan Surprise” segment.
