Three high-profile songs — two of which hit #1 — just received platinum certifications in the United Kingdom.
According to the BPI, Drake’s “God’s Plan,” Ariana Grande’s “Break Free (featuring Zedd),” and Eminem’s “River (featuring Ed Sheeran)” received platinum awards this week.
The certifications confirm 600,000 in UK units.
“God’s Plan” has spent the past seven weeks atop the Official UK Singles Chart. It actually seized the throne from “River,” which hit #1 on the chart earlier this year.
“Break Free,” which appears on Grande’s 2014 album “My Everything,” peaked at #16 on the UK chart.
