Update: It’s official: Halsey’s “hopeless fountain kingdom” debuts at #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts. It is her first #1 on both listings.

She tops the former thanks to what Billboard reports as 76K pure US opening week sales.

With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, the album generated 106K first-week US consumption units. That figure is enough for #1 on the Billboard 200.

Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN.” takes #2 on the Billboard 200 with 73K units. “Epic AF” rises to #3 with 49K, while The Beatles’ “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” falls to #4 with 45K.

Credited with 43K first-week units (35K from sales), Luke Combs’ “This One’s For You” debuts at #5.

Making good on early projections, Halsey’s “hopeless fountain kingdom” won this week’s US album sales race.

It will also claim #1 on the Billboard 200 consumption chart.

According to BuzzAngle Music and Hits Daily Double, the artist’s sophomore album sold ~78,410 pure US copies during the June 2-8 tracking week. The count more than doubles that of the week’s next-best-selling album.

With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, “hopeless fountain kingdom” generated ~111,117 total first-week consumption units in the United States. That, too, convincingly ranks as the week’s best consumption figure.

Due Sunday, Billboard’s more authoritative data will differ slightly from that reported by BuzzAngle. The discrepancies will not, however, affect the overall outcome. Halsey’s album will be #1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales (pure sales) and Billboard 200 (consumption) charts.

It will be her first chart-topper on the two listings.
