The smash hit cover receives a multi-platinum award.

Disturbed’s popular cover of the Simon & Garfunkel classic “The Sound Of Silene” is officially multi-platinum in the United States.

According to the RIAA, the single went double platinum on May 26, 2017.

The certification confirms at least 2 million in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

A multi-week #1 at active/mainstream rock radio, Disturbed’s cover hit #42 on a Billboard Hot 100 that has become increasingly devoid of songs by rock artists.
