Update: Fifth Harmony’s “Down (featuring Gucci Mane)” just entered the Top 3 on the US iTunes sales chart.

The new single, which premiered late Thursday night, was up to #3 on the listing as of 8:00AM ET Friday morning.

Already rich with momentum, “Down” will receive an additional boost when Fifth Harmony performs the song on Friday’s “Good Morning America.”

Fifth Harmony’s new single “Down (featuring Gucci Mane)” arrived late Thursday night, and it predictably began rocketing up the US iTunes sales chart.

As of press time at 12:25AM ET Friday morning, it is #15 on the store’s all-genre single sales chart.

It is by far the highest-ranking of this week’s “New Music Friday” releases. It is also ahead of all but one song (Foo Fighters’ “Run” | #14) that arrived on Thursday, and it should move ahead of that track in minutes.

“Down” is the lead single from Fifth Harmony’s third album and the group’s first release as a quartet. It was made available for radio airplay at midnight and officially “impacts” on June 13.
