Ratings: “The Walking Dead” Rises Slightly For Midseason Finale

The Walking Dead [AMC]

Sunday’s midseason “The Walking Dead” finale was up — but not dramatically so — from last week’s episode.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s episode drew a 5.09 adults 18-49 rating and 10.58 million total viewers. The numbers narrowly top the 4.95 adults 18-49 rating and 10.48 million viewer mark garnered by last week’s episode.

On the other hand, they are a far cry from the 7.02 rating and 13.98 million audience sum posted by last year’s midseason finale.

Sunday’s episode did face particularly stiff football competition; the Cowboys-Giants showdown drew a monstrous 8.7 rating and 26.50 million total viewers.

Leading out of “The Walking Dead,” Sunday’s “Talking Dead” drew a 1.97 adults 18-49 rating and 4.31 million total viewers. The numbers top the 1.69 rating and 3.77 million audience figure posted by last week.
