The Weeknd’s new album “Starboy” had a mammoth first week on Spotify.
If the reports of record-breaking streaming totals did not provide enough evidence, consider this reality: the artist has seven songs in the Top 10 on the service’s weekly US chart.
The title track, which received 12.371 million weekly US streams, is back up to #1 on the listing.
The Weeknd also holds the following Top 10 positions:
3) “Party Monster” – 9.608 million
5) “I Feel It Coming” – 7.281 million
7) “Sidewalks” – 6.271 million
8) “Rockin'” – 5.805 million
9) “Six Feet Under” – 5.750 million
10) “Reminder” – 5.551 million
The Weeknd also has two additional songs in the Top 15 (“Secrets” at #11 and “True Colors” at #15). All “Starboy” tracks are inside the Top 30.
As far as the Top 10 goes, the only non-Weeknd tracks are Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles (featuring Gucci Mane)” (#2, 10.611 million), Drake’s “Fake Love” (#4, 8.243 million) and The Chainsmokers’ “Closer (featuring Halsey)” (#6, 6.610 million).
