Katy Perry’s “Rise” Impacting Pop Radio; July 19 Adds Date Announced

July 19 is one of the most crowded pop radio adds dates in recent memory. Yet another song has entered the fray.

Katy Perry’s Olympics anthem “Rise,” which premiered Friday, has also been given a July 19 impact date. The news was announced by Capitol Records and first reported on Mediabase’s AllAccess service.

As it currently stands, “Rise” is one of eight songs officially going for adds this week.

Other songs impacting the pop format include Britney Spears’ “Make Me (featuring G-Eazy)” (RCA), 5 Seconds Of Summer’s “Girls Talk Boys” (RCA), Hailee Steinfeld’s “Starving (featuring Zedd)” (Republic), KUNGS & Cookin’ On 3 Burners’ “This Girl” (Republic), Nathan Sykes’ “Give It Up (featuring G-Eazy)” (Def Jam), Tinie Tempah’s “Girls Like (featuring Zara Larsson)” (Warner), and X Ambassadors’ “Unsteady” (Interscope).
