The bad news: Sofia Carson’s “Love Is The Name” and Disturbed’s “The Sound Of Silence” both endured week-to-week losses in pop radio airplay.

The good news: the songs still earn new peak rankings at the format.

Carson’s single received 751 spins during the June 12-18 tracking week. While that trails the previous week’s mark by 29 plays, the tally is enough for an improved weekly ranking. “Love Is The Name” is the Mediabase pop panel’s #42 song this week; it was #45 last week.

Disturbed’s Simon & Garfunkel cover directly follows at #43. The ranking bests last week’s position by four places even though the song’s weekly spin count of 692 trails last week’s by 50.
