Ratings: Freeform’s “Guilt” Starts Softly, Matches “Recovery Road” In A18-49

Guilt [Freeform]

The premiere of Freeform’s “Guilt” failed to ignite much live+same-day interest. Monday’s premiere posted soft adults 18-49 and total viewership numbers.

According to national data posted by Showbuzz, Monday’s launch posted a 0.16 adults 18-49 rating and 0.49 million total viewers.

The numbers are fairly on par with those posted by the January 2016 premiere of Freeform’s “Recovery Road.” That series, which opened with the same 0.16 rating but a slightly lesser viewership total of 0.46 million, has since been cancelled.

Unlike “Recovery Road,” “Guilt” faced intense competition from the NBA finals. It also aired without notable lead-in support; “Recovery Road” led out of “The Fosters.”

The explanations for why the “Guilt” premiere was stronger than the “Recovery Road” premiere do not, however, change the fact that the numbers are still very disappointing.
