ABC’s “Galavant” simply could not catch a break.
While Sunday’s season finale did not have to deal with an NFL playoff game or major awards show, it was not free of competition. It was positioned against a hugely rated live musical in FOX’s “Grease Live!”
As a result, it only managed a slight week-to-week ratings gain.
Sunday’s hourlong broadcast, which was technically a season finale but may serve as a series finale, posted a 0.6 adults 18-49 rating and reached 2.166 million total viewers.
Last week’s hour, which was the worst-performing broadcast of the show’s run, drew a 0.5 with 2.100 million.
“Grease” drew a 4.5 with 12.671 million in the competitive 8PM hour.
