Report: ZAYN’s “PILLOWTALK” Drove 80K+ US Sales In First Day, 200K in First Three

Indicated by its quick ascent to #1 on the US iTunes sales chart — and ongoing standing in the Top 2 — ZAYN’s “PILLOWTALK” drove a healthy number of paid US downloads in its first few days of release.

Citing label sources, Hits Daily Double says ZAYN’s debut solo single shifted over 80,000 US copies on January 29, its first day of release.

By the end of Sunday, its total had reached approximately 200,000.

Combined with solid early airplay and streaming figures, the impressive sales performance poises “PILLOWTALK” for a strong debut on next week’s Billboard Hot 100, which will account for sales and streaming from January 29-February 4 and radio play from February 1-February 7.
