Ratings: NBC’s “Shades of Blue” Wins Timeslot With Solid Performance

It may not have been a ratings blockbuster, but NBC’s “Shades of Blue” certainly got off to a solid start Thursday night.

It was easily the 10PM timeslot’s top broadcast series in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

Per Nielsen fast national data, the new drama premiered with a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and a viewership mark of 8.570 million.

CBS’ “Elementary,” its closest competitor in each column, posted a 1.2 with 6.706 million viewers.

“Shades Of Blue” will need to demonstrate reasonable retention in the coming weeks — its performance was not strong enough to permit a crash — but it definitely premiered well by 10PM broadcast standards (and, really, 2016 scripted series standards).

— NBC’s night also included “Heroes Reborn” (1.0, 3.729 million) and “The Blacklist” (1.6, 7.449 million).
