iLoveMemphis’ “Hit The Quan,” which has gone as high as #15 on the Billboard Hot 100, is now platinum in the United States.
Officially announced January 4, 2015, the certification confirms a US unit total of at least 1 million. One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.
As it had not been previously certified, “Hit The Quan” also retroactively received a gold distinction.
The artist, who first released the song under the moniker iHeartMemphis, signed a deal with RECORDS this past fall. RECORDS, in association with Palm Tree Entertainment and Rush Hour Entertainment, filed for the certifications.
