Ratings: FOX’s “Cooper Barrett,” “Bordertown” Premiere Softly

Neither FOX’s “Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life” nor “Bordertown” posted strong premiere numbers Sunday.

Per Nielsen fast national data, “Cooper” posted a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating and 2.634 million total viewers. Inherently underwhelming, the numbers are rendered worse by context.

Airing at 8:30PM, the episode was sandwiched between FOX’s markedly higher-rated veterans “The Simpsons” (2.0, 4.434 million) and “Family Guy” (1.7, 3.250 million).

Airing at 9:30PM, fellow newcomer “Bordertown” squandered its “Family Guy” lead-in. It drew a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating and 2.356 million total viewers.
