Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” Expected To Retain #1 at Pop Radio, Reach Top 15 at Hot AC

While the impact of Christmas and year-end countdowns can potentially throw everything for a curve, Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” is currently on track to retain its crown at pop radio.

It is also set to reach new peaks on Mediabase’s rhythmic and hot adult contemporary airplay charts.

The second “Purpose” single received 11,213 pop spins during the first four days of the December 20-26 tracking week. Up 3.0% from the previous week’s mark, the count situates “Sorry” at #1 on Mediabase’s building pop airplay chart.

No song represents an imminent threat to its throne.

“Sorry” rose to #1 on last week’s official Mediabase pop chart.

“Sorry” concurrently received 3,081 rhythmic spins during the tracking week’s first four days. The count, which bests last week’s mark by 8.1%, positions Bieber’s tune at #4 on Mediabase’s building rhythmic chart. It should have no trouble retaining its #4 position, and it may even overtake Alessia Cara’s declining “Here” (#3 on building) before the tracking week concludes.

“Sorry” was #5 on last week’s official rhythmic chart.

Afforded 1,419 hot adult contemporary spins during the tracking week’s first four days (+23.4%), “Sorry” is up to #14 on the building Hot AC airplay chart. It should easily remain in the Top 15 as the tracking week concludes.

“Sorry” was #17 on last week’s official Hot AC chart.
