Sara Bareilles’ hit “Brave” recently earned a new multi-platinum honor from the RIAA.

On December 11, 2015, the song was formally certified 3x platinum under the RIAA’s digital singles program. The distinction confirms a US unit total of at least 3 million; one unit is equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.

Itself a Grammy nominee for Best Pop Solo Performance, “Brave” appears on Bareilles’ Grammy-nominated 2013 album “The Blessed Unrest.”

In reaching the 3x platinum threshold, “Brave” ties “Love Song” as Bareilles’ most-certified digital single.
