A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera’s “Say Something” Receives 5X Platinum Certification

“Say Something,” the Grammy-winning collaboration between A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera, has ascended to a new multi-platinum level in the United States.

On December 11, 2015, the song received a 5X platinum certification from the RIAA.

Under the terms of the RIAA’s Digital Singles program, the certification confirms a US unit total of at least 5 million. One unit is equal to one paid download or 100 streams.

The song, which went as high as #4 on the Hot 100, won a Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
