Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches,” DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge’s “You Know You Like It” Certified 2x Platinum

Fall Out Boy’s “Uma Thurman” was not the only song to officially go double-platinum on November 19, 2015.

Shawn Mendes’ “Stitches” and DJ Snake & AlunaGeorge’s “You Know You Like It” also earned that RIAA distinction.

The 2X platinum certification confirms a US unit total of at least 2 million. One unit is equal to one paid download or 100 streams.

Released in 2015, “Stitches” recently peaked at #4 on the all-encompassing Billboard Hot 100. “You Know You Like It” first emerged in late 2014 but reached its Hot 100 peak (#13) in 2015.
