Adele’s “25” Will Not Be Available On Streaming Services

Adele’s “25” will be released for purchase on Friday, November 20.

It will not, however, be available for streaming.

Citing three insiders associated with the release, NYT reports that the eagerly anticipated album will not be immediately available on any premium or freemium streaming services.

The sources add that Adele, like Taylor Swift last year, was personally involved in the decision to withhold the album.

Certain to be the year’s fastest-selling album, “25” is also expected to set the Soundscan-era record for opening week US sales. As of press time, forecasts call for an opening week tally of 2.5 million, with 1.5 million coming from physical CD purchases and the other 1 million from digital downloads.
