Jordan Smith’s “Halo” Debuts On Hot 100; Takes #14 On Digital Songs

Thanks to Jordan Smith, season nine of “The Voice” earns its first representation on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The Team Adam contestant’s “Halo” debuts at #88 on this week’s chart, which ranks songs based on their combined sales, streaming, and radio activity.

Sales activity is the driver behind the “Halo” debut. Smith’s tune, which earned the coveted iTunes multiplier bonus in conjunction with last Monday’s episode, was America’s #14 digital single during the November 6-12 tracking week.

For reference, it lands between Selena Gomez’ #13 “Same Old Love” and Ellie Goulding’s #15 “On My Mind” on the US Digital Songs chart.

“Halo” is the only “Voice” song to appear on either the Hot 100 or Digital Songs.
