Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush” Also Wins CMA Award for Song of the Year

The country music single of the year is also the song of the year.

Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush” just won the Song of the Year trophy at the 49th Annual CMA Awards.

The award was presented to songwriters Lori McKenna, Hillary Lindsey and Liz Rose.

Other nominees included “American Kids,” “Like a Cowboy,” “Like a Wrecking Ball,” and “Take Your Time.”

As noted, “Girl Crush” also won the award for Single of the Year. As far as the Country Music Association is concerned, it therefore clearly ranks as the year’s top country music track.
