Ratings: The CW’s “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” Flops, “Jane the Virgin” Falls (Updated)

Final Ratings: The CW’s new “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” got off to a disappointing start.

Per final broadcast data, Monday’s premiere drew a soft 0.3 adults 18-49 rating with 899,000 viewers. It was easily the night’s lowest-rated and least-watched network program.

Lead-out “Jane The Virgin” also failed to impressive. The 0.4 adults 18-49 rating and 1.063 million viewer total posted by its season two premiere trail the 0.6 and 1.61 million posted by last year’s series premiere.

Fast National Ratings: Viewers were certainly not crazy about The CW’s new “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.”

Per Nielsen fast national data, Monday’s series premiere drew a paltry 0.3 adults 18-49 rating with 928,000 total viewers.

“Crazy Ex” led into “Jane The Virgin,” which fell from last year’s premiere despite the buzz and critical acclaim. Monday’s “Jane” drew a 0.4 with 1.056 million viewers; last year’s series launch scored a 0.6 with 1.61 million.

Based on the overnight household ratings, The CW’s Monday tandem of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” and “Jane The Virgin” began the season in disappointing fashion.

Airing at 8PM, the “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” launch drew a mere 0.8 overnight household rating. While The CW does tend to skew young, the low overnight household rating assures the adults 18-49 rating will not be impressive.

“Jane The Virgin” spent its first season accumulating critical acclaim, but that acclaim did not translate into an elevated season two premiere performance. “Jane” drew the same 0.8 overnight household rating as its lead-in.

Last year’s series premiere posted a stronger – but still soft – 1.1.

Adults 18-49 and total viewership data should be available by 11:15AM ET.
