Chris Janson’s “Buy Me a Boat” Reaches 500K US Sales

Chris Janson’s “Buy Me a Boat,” which is sailing toward the Top 5 of the country radio airplay chart, recently crossed an impressive sales checkpoint.

When the August 7-13 tracking week concluded, its US sales total exceeded 500,000.

Going into the week, the song boasted a cume of what Nielsen Music reports as approximately 474,000. Final data for the August 7-13 week is not yet available, but there is enough insight to confirm it moved at least 26,000 additional copies.

A more realistic weekly sales projection is 35-40,000.

Entry into the gold threshold comes as Janson sits at a #48 peak on the Billboard Hot 100. It is comfortably within the Top 10 on both the Mediabase and Billboard country radio charts.
