Sam Hunt’s sales, streaming and radio smash “Take Your Time” is officially double platinum in the United States.
The certification was formally issued on August 7, 2015. Under the terms of the RIAA’s digital singles program, the 2x platinum honor confirms a US unit total in excess of 2 million. One unit is equal to 1 paid download or 100 streams.
According to Nielsen Music, the song had driven 1.65 million paid downloads at the time of certification.
“Take Your Time” is the country singer-songwriter’s first release to score a multi-platinum honor.
Hunt’s discography also includes a 1x platinum single in “Leave the Night On” and a gold album in “Montevallo.”
