5 Seconds of Summer’s “She Looks So Perfect” Goes 2X Platinum; “Don’t Stop” Now Gold

5 Seconds of Summer’s breakthrough single “She Looks So Perfect” is officially multi-platinum in the United States.

The song, which introduced 5SOS to a global audience following its early 2014 release, was officially certified 2X platinum on July 27, 2015.

Under the terms of the RIAA’s Digital Singles program, a 2X platinum certification signifies a US unit total in excess of 2 million. One unit is equal to one paid download or 100 streams.

Since it had not been previously certified, “Perfect” received retroactive platinum and gold distinctions on July 27.

That date also brought good news for the band’s “Don’t Stop,” which was certified gold under the digital singles program, and its self-titled debut album, which received a standard gold distinction (500,000 shipments).
