Singles from two veteran alternative radio acts officially reach the Top 20 on this week’s edition of the Mediabase alternative airplay chart.
Modest Mouse’s “The Ground Walks, With Time in a Box,” the higher-charting of the two, rises three places to a new peak of #18 on the chart. It received ~851 plays during the August 2-8 tracking week (+39).
Death Cab for Cutie’s “The Ghosts of Beverly Drive” also advances into that portion of the chart. Up four places, “Ghosts” earns #20 on the strength of its ~784 weekly plays (+93).
“Ground Walks” is the follow-up to Modest Mouse’s chart-topping “Lampshades on Fire.” “Beverly Drive” follows Death Cab’s #2-peaking “Black Sun.”
