Pop Radio Listeners Love Meghan Trainor & John Legend’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You”

Meghan Trainor & John Legend’s “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” is not rapidly climbing the pop radio airplay chart, but its methodical pace has nothing to do with a tepid audience reaction.

Per the latest Mediabase/CMM listener call out report, the pop radio audience loves the song.

Scored positively by 78.6% of listeners and negatively by only 7.1%, it boasts a whopping 71.4% net positive score. Of the 34 active songs that appear in this week’s report, none possesses a score of that magnitude.

Ed Sheeran’s “Photograph,” the closest, holds a net positive rating of 51.5%

The aforementioned 78.6% positive score is also pop radio’s greatest; the 7.1% negative score its its lowest.

Familiar to 77.2% of surveyed listeners, “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” holds a “favorite” score of 26.5%. That is pop radio’s seventh-greatest.

Of the six songs that possess a higher favorite score, only “Photograph” (27.7%) possesses a lower familiarity rating (74.7%).

Despite the strong feedback and the involvement of two stars, “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” has not yet cracked pop radio’s Top 40. It appears at #43 on Mediabase’s building chart.
