Cam’s “Burning House,” which is the latest country selection for the iHeartRadio “On the Verge” program, lands atop the weekly country radio add board.
According to Mediabase, the track won support from 51 monitored country stations that week. Only song received even half as many adds this week.
Kenny Chesney’s “Save it for a Rainy Day,” that song, earned pickups from 26 monitored stations. Cut from “The Big Revival,” the song represents Chesney’s attempt at a fourth straight #1 hit.
Picked up by 15 stations, Dierks Bentley’s “Riser” claims third-most added. A Thousand Horses’ “(This Ain’t No) Drunk Dial” earns fourth-most added on the strength of its 13 weekly adds.
Each picked up by 12 monitored stations, Florida Georgia Line’s “Anything Goes” and Chris Janson’s “Buy Me a Boat” tie for fifth-most added.
Like “Burning House,” Janson’s “Buy Me a Boat” received valuable support from syndicated radio host Bobby Bones. “Buy Me a Boat” was also iHeartRadio’s previous “On the Verge” selection.
Introduced last year, the “On the Verge” program provides selected songs with guaranteed airplay on iHeartMedia’s network of radio stations. Cam follows RaeLynn as the second female artist to receive support from the program.
Other notable country radio options: Alan Jackson’s “Jim and Jack and Hank” (11 adds, 7th-most added, tie), Brett Eldredge’s “Lose My Mind” (11 adds, 7th-most added, tie), Thomas Rhett’s “Crash and Burn” (11 adds, 7th-most added, tie) and Jake Owen’s “Real Life” (10 adds, 10th-most added).
