The Weeknd’s “Can’t Feel My Face” Already Ranks as One of Pop’s 50 Most Played

While the promotional iHeartMedia campaign did not begin until mid-day Monday, The Weeknd’s new “Can’t Feel My Face” earned enough first day airplay to reach #45 on Mediabase’s rolling pop radio airplay chart.

The track, which received hourly airplay support from iHeartMedia’s network of stations, earned 767 spins Monday. That is the 45th-greatest total for the entire week between June 2 and June 8.

Since many of the song’s spins came in high-profile radio markets, it ranks even more impressively from an audience standpoint. The song’s first day impression total of 7.387 million was pop’s 33rd-greatest within the aforementioned June 2-June 8 window.

By the time Mediabase’s official airplay chart goes to print Sunday, “Can’t Feel My Face” should comfortably hold a Top 40 position.
