Hunter Hayes’ “21” Enters Country Radio’s Rolling Top 50; Luke Bryan Up to #35

While its opening day action did not mirror that achieved by Luke Bryan’s “Kick the Dust Up,” it was very strong.

As a result, Hunter Hayes’ new single “21 is already inside the rolling Top 50 of Mediabase’s country radio airplay chart.

According to Mediabase, Hayes’ single received 946 spins in conjunction with its May 21 launch. That earns it enough chart points to rank at #46 on the rolling chart, which measures airplay for the entire week between May 15 and 21.

A significant quantity of its first day spins came courtesy an hourly airplay promotion by iHeartMedia. Bryan’s new tune, which also benefited from such a campaign, started at #39 with 1,140 first day spins. With two additional days of organic airplay under its belt, it now ranks at #35 on the strength of 1,588 tracking week spins.

Hayes’ song received 7.476 million opening day audience impressions. That is the 38th-greatest audience total for the entire week between May 15 and 21.
